What it does

Sleep Doc AI reads your actual CPAP session data — events, pressures, leak rates, snore patterns — and gives you personalized explanations. Ask why your AHI spiked, what a specific event type means for you, or how your therapy compares to clinical benchmarks.

How to use it

Open the Sleep Doc chat from your dashboard. Pro users can send unlimited messages and ask follow-up questions across your full history.

Why it matters

Standard sleep tests miss UARS entirely. CPAP Insights doesn't.

What it does

Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome causes fragmented, unrefreshing sleep without triggering the apneas that AHI measures. UARS patients often score a 'normal' AHI of 2–4 while still waking exhausted. Pro analyzes your flow limitation signatures, RERA patterns, and pressure response to flag UARS risk.

How to use it

After importing a night with EDF signal data, navigate to the Respiration page. The UARS section shows your flow limitation score, detected clusters, and a risk assessment with clinical context.

Why it matters

CSR is a serious pattern your machine records but rarely flags explicitly.

What it does

Cheyne-Stokes Respiration is a cyclical waxing-and-waning breathing pattern associated with heart failure, neurological conditions, and high-altitude exposure. Pro scans your respiratory flow signal for the characteristic CSR crescendo-decrescendo pattern and quantifies how much of your night it affected.

How to use it

Available on the Respiration page after EDF import. The CSR section shows detected clusters plotted against your breathing signal, with total time affected and severity indicators.

Why it matters

CPAP therapy can paradoxically trigger central apneas in some patients — a pattern your machine records but rarely surfaces.

What it does

Treatment-Emergent Central Apneas (TECA) appear when CPAP pressure suppresses obstructive events but unmasks an underlying central apnea tendency. Pro detects nights where centrals cluster after therapy initiation, calculates your Central Apnea Index, and flags the proportion of total events that are central — the clinical threshold for TECA.

How to use it

Visible on your nightly dashboard in the TECA card. A risk level (low / moderate / high) is calculated from your CAI and the ratio of central to total events, with clinical context explaining what the pattern suggests.

Why it matters

Individual signals tell part of the story. Seeing them together — normalized to the same scale — reveals patterns that would otherwise be invisible, including UARS signatures that only appear in the relationship between flow limitation, tidal volume, and pressure response.

What it does

Build a custom graph overlaying any combination of your respiratory signals. A normalization algorithm adjusts each signal to equivalent visual height regardless of unit, so a flow rate and a pressure reading can be meaningfully compared side by side. Crossing units is normally what makes multi-signal analysis unreliable — this eliminates that problem.

How to use it

On the Analytics page, use the Compare Any Signals section to select the signals you want. The graph renders all selected channels normalized, with your event markers overlaid. Look for correlated dips and spikes across signals to identify UARS and other subtle patterns.

Why it matters

Your raw signal data enables analysis that doesn't exist yet.

What it does

Pro stores your full 2-second resolution signal in the cloud — not just nightly summaries. As new detection algorithms and analysis tools are added to CPAP Insights, your historical data will be re-analyzed automatically. You're not just paying for today's features.

How to use it

Raw data is uploaded automatically after each import for Pro users. No action needed — it happens in the background and is always available for future re-analysis.
